Eisele Undergraduate Received a CREST IDEALS Fellowship

Karisma McCoy, an undergraduate student at the Eisele Group, received a CREST IDEALS fellowship to support her summer research project.

Karisma started off working closely with Janel, who is another distinguished IDEALS undergraduate awardee at our group. Together, they mastered manipulating the shape and size of hybrid nanoparticles consisting of silver and gold (Ag/Au nanoparticles). The next step of the project is to make the resulting nanoparticles functional.

Thanks to  the CREST IDEALS fellowship, Karisma has the support necessary to proceed with her research endeavors!
