Our undergraduate researcher Oluwafeyikemi (Feyi) Adekunle successfully finished her summer research project and gave a lively talk! She also presented her very first poster at the 2018 Columbia University Materials Research REU Program Symposium. Feyi participated in the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU-NanoNY) with Columbia University!

In her project, she worked with her mentor Pooja Gaikwad, who is our lead doctoral researcher for our group’s project on the synthesis of Bio-inspired Plexcitonic Model Systems. Feyi was visiting us from Howard University where she will graduate in the Spring of 2019!  It was wonderful to work with Feyi and we hope that she might join us again next summer!

(Amongst other programs, the Eisele Group is participating in joint REU Programs with Columbia University as well as  with NSF-CREST IDEALS at CCNY.)
